Could you explain the usage rules?: Since the usage rules include important matters regarding the handling of intellectual property rights and confidentiality, we always explain them to companies.If you would like an explanation for someone other than the company, please let us know.

What kind of use is “commercial use”?: For example, it refers to an act in which a contractor undertaking analysis services analyzes samples entrusted by customers at our site at a low cost and sells the obtained data to the customer to make a profit.

What should I do if there is a change in the information registered in the application for use?: Please contact us to let us know of any changes.We will change the registration details accordingly.

Do you issue a usage report each time you use the service?: Please submit the usage report once at the end of the fiscal year.Please describe the results of using the system for one year.Even if it is used only once or if it does not produce results, we will ask you to submit it as a record of use.In addition, since the usage report corresponds to the research project of the usage application, it is necessary to create one usage report for each application.

What is the usage report form?: The usage report is one page in AXNUMX size, and includes "research outline", "experiment", "results and discussion", "papers and conference presentations", and "related patents".

How is the usage report published?: The usage report will be published on the website of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's ``Materials Advanced Research Infrastructure'' project.No password is required to view.You can view it freely.

Do I have to include content that includes inventions or data that has not yet been presented at an academic conference in the usage report?: In principle, the usage report should be made public, but if it contains the content you asked about, it is possible to postpone the publication.

How is a confidentiality agreement concluded?: We have a template for a non-disclosure agreement, so we will coordinate with the relevant departments and create a contract based on this.If agreement is reached on the content of the contract, a contract will be signed between the person in charge of use and this platform.

When applying for a patent, will it be a joint application with the University of Tokyo?: There is no need to make a joint application unless a joint research agreement has been concluded or unless the platform has provided know-how.However, if you have applied, you must notify us that you have applied.

How are usage charges billed?: Usage charges are aggregated at the end of each month and confirmed by creating a usage charge statement.A usage charge statement that records the usage record for that month is sent to the user the following month.After confirming the statement, please have the person responsible for use sign it and send it to the coordination room.We will then send you an invoice.For more informationhere.
